This is a snapshot of my slice of heaven. I comb the beach for rocks that are shaped like Maine, mussel shells, hearts, tear drops and ovals. I could (and do) spend hours upon hours on my hands and knees sifting through this treasure trove of natural beauty! I call it my “happy place.” This is my other “happy place.” My family calls it the Goddess Cave! I can (and do) spend hours creating. Some days I use my Dremel tool and drill rocks and sea glass. Other days, I paint and wire. This time of year is especially good. Snow days are a great excuse to work in the Goddess Cave while watching an old movie or an episode of Flea Market Flip!
TJ and I have been busy making these pretty birch tree candle holders. TJ cuts and drills each one from trees on our land. I attach a felt base to protect furniture. These make a great hostess gift! We sell them for $6.00 each and will have them at this Saturday’s holiday craft fair at Cheverus High School on Ocean Avenue, Portland, Maine. (9-3)
I had a blast at the Cheverus craft fair this past weekend! Talked to many wonderful people, many of whom shared “fav’rit daughter” status! I also enjoyed the help of cousin Kathleen, daughter Avery and her best bud Ashley. Helping people find just the right piece of jewelry for themselves or for someone special is fun and energizing. I hope to do one more event in Portland this month. I will post as soon as I have been confirmed.
