January in Maine means chilly temps, snow, sleet, rain, football games, movie nights and indoor markets. I’ll be spending my Saturdays at the Saco River Market on Main Street in Biddeford during January and February. Market opens at 9am and goes until 12:30. This market has a great variety of products including fresh meats and produce, wine, salami and sausage, maple syrup, honey, hand-made shawls, scarfs and hats, and more! We are next door to Portland Pie and Banded Horn Brewing. If you are looking for something fun to do on a Saturday morning, make the trip to Biddeford. Grab a coffee at Elements and walk down Main Street. Stop at the market for some fresh produce and other goodies and then pop over to Portland Pie for lunch. Or skip lunch and go straight to beer…it is winter and we all need to do whatever it takes to make it to another spring!!
